Happy August! We hope you are enjoying your summer! Here area a few updates as we ease into the end of summer. Our weekend farm shop continues to offer a full array of superior produce, eggs, and frozen meats. We will have fresh roosters and stew hens available the weekend of August 21st. Stew hens are perfect for winter chicken soups and dense bone broths. As with all local foods, the stew hens are a seasonal product that becomes available once a year during our annual cull. Pick up a few for your freezer to get you through the winter blahs!
We continue to have a table at the Duvall Farmer’s Market (Thursdays 3-7). The Carnation Farmer’s Market is Tuesdays from 3-7. The final day for the Carnation Market is Tuesday 31st and the final day for the Duvall Farmer’s Market is Thursday, October 14th. Our weekend farm shop will move to appointment only for frozen meats starting October 1st.
It’s TURKEY TIME! Make your Thanksgiving special by hosting a local foods feast! Contact me (Jen) if you would like to be put on the turkey email list. I will be emailing everyone interested in September to collect deposits. We sell our turkeys for $8/lb, and they weight between 12-20lbs. Send an email or text to 505-410-9636.
