Hollyhock Farm is a diverse family farm on the hills of the Snoqualmie Valley. We raise a variety of animals using ethical methods that work with nature for the health of our farm and surrounding forests lands. With our work towards healthy pastures and plant diversity we are able to give Seattle’s Eastside options for superior meats from a local semi-urban farm.
We are dedicated to finding ways to work with nature on our farm, therefore we employ the use of two livestock guardian dogs who stay on pasture with our animals when they are out. “Rowdy” and “Max” are excellent caretakers to the farm, and you will often see them in our photos as they love to pose for the camera. Livestock guardian dogs are bred to have a low prey drive. Our dogs were raised with ruminants as well as poultry enabling them to be calm and gentle around the farm animals. This means we are able to keep our birds and herd safe and foraging all year long without worry from predation. Thank you Rowdy and Max!!
As a family-run business we enjoy being outside and working on streamlining the productions on our farm. It’s an ongoing opportunity for learning and growing and connecting with our greater community!
We love to have visitors – follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find out about our open house days.
