When you have food with high nutritional value, you will know because you will find yourself thinking back on that thing that you ate – whether it is a dense kale or a pork chop…and your body will want more! I often have this happen to me when we’re at peak salad season or after I slow cook a lamb shoulder. Even now, just thinking of those two things is making me want to seek them out! Somehow salad from the grocer doesn’t quite give me the same thrill.
It’s the Holiday season, and our hope is that each of you are preparing to spend time with family and friends in a festive way. We’ll be staying home this year, as usual, and we are glad for it. Merry Christmas!
Our farm shop will be open each weekend leading up to Christmas, and then we will take a short break and open again in the New Year. We are currently well stocked! We’ve got a large amount of lamb sausage links – either Italian sausage seasoning or garlic and rosemary. Both are delicious! We have all the usual gourmet cuts of lamb and goat, and additionally chunked goat for bone-in stews. What are you serving for Christmas day dinner with the family? We have about 10 turkeys left for feeding a crowd – we’ll be doing this ourselves! I have prepared whole turkey so many ways – this year I might put ours in the oven the night before for an overnight roast. If you would like to try your hand at a leg of lamb or shoulder roast, we’ve got those too. We sold most of the goose at Thanksgiving BUT WE HAVE ONE LEFT! Call or msg if you want to reserve him.
