From the Farm

September 21, 2020

Wow! Where did the month go!!! I have a few great pictures to share. We had a what felt like a forever smoke blanket over us, and then with a whoosh and an end to our summer drought it was gone…and just like that it was fall! This past weekend we celebrated with a wonderful apple harvest and hard cider making party. We decided not to have a fire in the firepit – some of you will understand. 🙂

The final day for the Duvall Farmer’s Market is October 15th. We’ll be there every Thursday with fresh, responsibly grown produce, whole frozen chicken, and field ranged, non-gmo eggs! In addition please consider visiting our weekend farm shop. We offer discounts on eggs and chicken in the farm shop, and have a few extra goodies each weekend.

Each month for the summer farming season we offer whole carcass fresh field raised chicken, processed on farm. Our fresh chicken sale is the last weekend of each month, June through September. Our final fresh chicken sale for the 2020 season will be next Saturday and Sunday, September 26th+27th, at the farm, from 8-5 each day. Chickens are whole, fresh, never frozen, ready for roasting, bbq, or pan fry! Weights range from 3lbs – 5lbs, and our fresh chicken is sold for $5/lb. Average cost is $20/chicken. Come see us!

Our stew hen sale will happen at the end of October. It’s time to stock up! Are you an ant or a grasshopper?

This year we are partnering with the Snoqualmie Valley Farmer’s Cooperative and selling our beautiful turkey crop through their amazing annual Thanksgiving box. We sell eggs and produce through the cooperative each week, and have contributed turkeys to the Thanksgiving box in the past. If you have not tried the Thanksgiving box, I would encourage you to check it out! It’s a great way to support our local food system. Each box contains the proud efforts of many farms in or near the Snoqualmie river valley. Details coming soon! https://snovalleycoop.com/
