Welcome to 2021!
We’ve taken our break to recover from the hard work done in 2020 and our bodies are waking up to another great growing season. We were able to take our family down to New Mexico to check in on Grandpa in January. He was happy to get out of his house! We enjoyed lots of sunshine and hiking in the remote areas we love. Here we are at the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona:
Babies are being born! Our current lamb count as I type this (today is Saturday, Feb. 6th) is around 16 and our baby goat count is at five – but I haven’t been out to check yet this morning! Most of our moms are having twins. The first flowers are starting to poke out of the ground on the farm, and the chick incubator is humming along with chicks hatching every other week. We’ll have mixed-sex chicks for sale beginning in March for $3 each, and barnyard-mix laying hens available in April, due to start laying in May. Twenty-five dollars each.
Our Hollyhock Farm Shop is still available by appointment. Call or text 505.379.3856 to arrange a time to stop by!

We are hiring! We have a part time position available working on our farm just outside of Duvall. Twenty-five hours a week focused in our market garden. Weeding, harvesting, washing, bunching, light animal care. Training provided. Fifteen dollars an hour. This is a good fit for anyone who would like to get away from their computer screen and learn a new skill, or anyone interested in learning about small-farming. Call or text Phil at 505-453-5535.
